The Lighted Inn and Tavern
Down the street from the towering university is a handsome three-story building of grey stone. Windows line the side facing the road, with a warm and welcoming light coming from them. The double doors in front are open and lead to an entryway where a man offers to take your cloak, hat, or coat, and directs you to the room straight ahead, the tavern.
The tavern is filled with light from floating globes placed about the room that can be summoned to the tavern mistress should she call them. There is also a more traditional hearth opposite the bar with comfortable plush armchairs gathered around it. Nearer the bar are numerous tables with high-backed wooden chairs around them, with people of various races and demeanors seated at them.
A cheerful woman who at least appears to be young (though it is hard to tell with the Hyandae en’luhta) stands behind the bar, greeting and serving customers. Her name is Urda, and she is the owner of the inn and tavern, and younger sister of Pilin en’templa’s ruler. She is proficient in magic, but prefers to use it in a different and more common way.
Pilin en’templa is a self-proclaimed neutral territory, so you may find servants of either the light or the dark present. It is best to be on your guard. Though the keepers of the valley do not suffer any to be harmed, they cannot be everywhere at once. The current ruler of Pilin is mostly good and dislikes the dark, so those of the light should be safe.
There is a sign on the bar, reading in a firm and flowing script:
Welcome to the Lighted Inn and Tavern, travelers and dwellers of the valley alike!
If you would like a room for the night, please ask Urda, and she will assist you.
If you would like a drink or something to eat, Urda will help you with that, as well.
I hope that you feel at home here, and enjoy your visit!
This is an In-character thread to roleplay your character in. Any OOCs should be put at the bottom of your post as unobtrusively as possible. Please do not use Brown, as that is Urda’s color.
